Join our summer long
Drive for Darfur
The Whisper Campaign is embarking on
a fundraising campaign this summer leading up to our
Drive for Darfur
Road Rally
August 2nd, 2008.
Empowering our community through awareness

The Whisper Campaign is a group of community activists within Lansing dedicated
to raising awareness about important international humanitarian issues.
Currently we are focusing on the genocide occuring in Darfur, Sudan. Even with the partial deployment of a combined African Union-United Nations Peacekeeping Force, the situation in Darfur is tenuous at best. Since 2003, the government of Sudan and the government sponsered Janjaweed militia have killed in between 200,000 and 400,000 people and displaced 2.5 million in refugee camps. 80% of that number are war widows and children suffering from desperate conditions of starvation, ill security and disease.
We believe that it is our responsibility to spread the word and encourage the community of Lansing to take action to stop this genocide. This website has been created to help facilitate that action through scheduled events, links and meeting.
Our next meeting is Scheduled for
Thursday, June 12th from 7pm - 8pm.

Consider....What if it were us? In Germany they first came for the Communists; I did not speak because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the Jews; I did not speak because I was not a Jew. Then they came to fetch the workers, members of trade unions; I was not a trade unionist. Afterward, they came for the Catholics; I did not say anything because I was a Protestant. Eventually they came for me, and there was no one left to speak.
